The beginning of football season is basically a national holiday at this point. College games just started and the NFL season kicks off this week. The opportunity if finally here to go to a game and root for your favorite team.

How To Prepare

Each stadium has their own policies on what you can and can’t bring inside. If you plan on bringing items inside the stadium, you will need a clear bag for security to inspect. Some stadiums allow outside food as well, you will just need to check their guidelines before doing so. Most importantly, represent your team by wearing the team colors and a jersey of your favorite player!

Pros And Cons Going To A Game

At this point you may be trying to decide whether going to a game is right for you. Some prefer the experience of standing in the crowd watching it live. Others are contempt with staying at home (or the bar) and watching the game on TV. While there is no wrong answer it’s best to know your options and see what works best for you and your situation.

While going to a game is a fun experience, it’s not perfect. Stadiums are often price food higher than what you’ll get at a grocery store. Expect to spend a little extra cash than what you may have budgeted for, and prepare accordingly.

What To Do At A Game

Now that you’re at the game it’s time to finally enjoy the event! This is a good time for socializing and watching your favorite teams compete. Below are some things you can do both before and during the game so you can have an enjoyable experience!

Tailgate

A classic pregame ritual, tailgating is where you hang out in the parking lot before the game, grill food, and mingle with other fans.
