Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Wings
INGREDIENTS
Chicken Wings

1½ pounds chicken wings, separated and wings tips discarded or party wings

Kosher salt, Diamond Crystal brand

Pepper

Garlic powder

Lemon Pepper Sauce

3 tablespoons butter, salted

2 teapoons lemon pepper seasoning, unsalted

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Zest of one lemon

Avocado oil spray

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat air fryer at 380 °F for 5 minutes.

Start by patting the chicken wings dry. Extra moisture can inhibit extra crispy skin.

Generously season both sides of wings with kosher salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Once the preheat is finished, spray the air fryer basket with avocado oil spray and add seasoned wings in a single layer. Cook on “chicken” setting at 380°F for 25 minutes, flipping at the 13 minute mark. After cycle completes, flip wings again and cook for 3 minutes at 400°F. Lastly, flip wings one last time and cook for 2 minutes at 400°F.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over low heat, add butter. Once butter melts, add lemon pepper seasoning, lemon juice and zest. Cook on low heat. Watch the mixture carefully so as not let the butter brown. Cook for one minute.

Once wings are ready, place in a mixing bowl. Top with melted butter and lemon pepper seasoning mixture. Mix. Enjoy as-is or with ranch!
